Knowing how to best dress your baby for the cold is important, as you don\u2019t want them to feel the cold, but you also need to be wary not to let them overheat. This is why the best idea is to opt for layering. Layering allows for flexibility; you can adjust based on your baby\u2019s temperature. The closest layer to them should be snug; a bodysuit and leggings is usually a good choice followed by a top and pants and then baby winter coats, hat, mittens and booties. Baby wearing is another great way of keeping them warm; your body heat will provide them extra warmth.<\/p>\r\n
Dressing for Sleep<\/h3>\r\n
When it comes to\u00a0sleep<\/a>, it is generally better to be on the cooler side as opposed to overdoing it with the heat. If baby sleep temperature is too high at night, they won\u2019t be comfortable, and this can cause a dangerous sleeping situation. Don’t feel your babe\u2019s\u00a0hands or feet to work out if\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0warm enough, as it\u2019s\u00a0normal for them to feel cold\u00a0on these parts of their body. Just keep in mind that whilst\u00a0you’re working up a sweat pushing\u00a0the pram\u00a0around, your bub\u00a0may get cold\u00a0before you do.\u00a0But\u00a0how will you know when\u00a0they\u2019ve had\u00a0enough? If\u00a0your baby is\u00a0happy to be out at first but\u00a0then\u00a0starts\u00a0kicking up a fuss\u00a0after a while,\u00a0it may be a sign that they\u2019re cold. In these situations, it\u2019s a\u00a0good idea to check\u00a0their\u00a0tummy, ears, and face regularly, and\u00a0make sure to\u00a0get\u00a0inside before\u00a0they get\u00a0uncomfortable.\u00a0
