You may not feel sore when you first start\u00a0breastfeeding if your babe\u00a0takes to it like a pro. However, in the instance that they don\u2019t\u00a0\u2013\u00a0it\u2019ll be a life saver.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Additional things we recommend packing fabric\u00a0knickers, as these\u00a0may\u00a0catch\u00a0on\u00a0your wound.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Bendy straws<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0as\u00a0you\u2019ll find it hard\u00a0to sit up\u00a0and\u00a0drink\u00a0after a c-section.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Backless slip-on slippers or flip-flops<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0these are ideal as you won\u2019t have to bend down to put them on,\u00a0which\u00a0could be a little\u00a0uncomfortable\u00a0at first.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Fibre-rich snacks<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0to help relieve constipation, pack snacks like\u00a0dried prunes or\u00a0apricots.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Arnica cream\/tablets<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0arnica cream\u00a0(don&#8217;t apply directly to\u00a0wound)\u00a0can either disposable nappies or reusable ones\u00a0\u2013 the choice is yours!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Newborn clothes<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You\u2019ll need to have a selection of clothes. And\u00a0depending on the length of your stay in the hospital, you may need to change\u00a0your cutie\u00a0a number of\u00a0times, so make sure to pack a couple of each. Onesies and vests are the most practical as they\u2019re\u00a0easy to pop\u00a0on and remove. You\u2019ll\u00a0also need to make sure you have a baby hat, as this will help to keep your little one\u00a0warm if the hospital is chilly\u00a0\u2013 plus they\u2019ll also look super cute\u00a0in it.\u00a0The hat will\u00a0also come handy when you\u2019re taking them home\u00a0\u2013\u00a0don\u2019t forget the scratch mittens,\u00a0socks\u00a0and booties too!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong>Car seat<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This one\u2019s not so much for the\u00a0hospital overnight bag but more one\u00a0that you\u2019ll need to have prepared.\u00a0Most\u00a0hospitals\u00a0will require that you have a suitable car seat for your\u00a0new teeny tot.
